Dessert with Wayne Thiebaud

Wayne Thiebaud was a constant inspiration throughout my college years and continues to be. I recently viewed some of his luscious paintings in the Anderson Collection in Palo Alto.

He remains best known for his still lifes of confections—sometimes painted from his own memories—which he considers interpretations of “Americanness.”
